We look forward to welcoming you at Ocean sound. When you make your booking you are entering into an agreement with us. Please read our terms and conditions of booking below.

Arrival and Departure

Check in is available from 3.00pm to 9.00pm (15:00 to 21:00). Check-in times outside of those specified must be confirmed with us prior to arrival and maybe subject to a charge of €10. Please inform us with your estimated time of arrival. We ask that you please vacate your room by 10.30am (10:30) on the morning of departure.


Please note the cancellation policy before committing to a reservation. In order for us to confirm a reservation, you are required to use online banking (BACS) to pay the cost of your stay. Bookings made online may be subject to different terms and conditions in force at the time of booking. This is to protect your security in carrying out the booking and providing credit card details over the internet.

Cancellation by the Guest

We are a small business, so cancellations can have a big impact on us, especially if we have turned away potential guests in favour of someone who has already booked and who then cancels. In the event of a cancellation up to 5 days prior to the scheduled date of arrival no charge will be made and your money will be refunded to your bank account. If you cancel your reservation within 5 days of the scheduled date or fail to arrive, a charge equivalent to 100% of your booking cost will be made. We take all Bookings in good faith and as we are unable to judge reasons for change, cancellation or non-arrival, our policy is that no exceptions to the above conditions will be made and that any booking made with Ocean Sound for accommodation forms a legally binding contract. For this reason, we advise that you take out a suitable insurance product to cover against unexpected costs such as cancellation fees. In addition, we may take legal action, through the Courts, to recover any outstanding debts.

Cancellation by Us

Should it become necessary for us to cancel a booking we will contact you immediately. Any payments made will be refunded in full. Our liability will not extend beyond these conditions.

Car Parking

Sufficient space is available for guests to park their vehicles and are parked here are at the owner’s risk.

Owners Property

Guest agrees not to access any locked storage areas or areas not expressly meant for guests, even if unlocked, which contains owners or managers property and may contain cleaning supplies and or items that could be hazardous to children and adults.

Smoke Detectors/Carbon Monoxide detectors

The property has smoke detectors and a carbon monoxide detector installed and they are believed to function properly at the time of rental. Guest will notify management without delay if detectors are missing, uninstalled, “chirps” or have a low battery condition.


Guests shall see to their own and to the Property security by locking doors, windows, etc. when prudent to do so, and always when all guests are absent, or the property is vacated.


Services are provided as a convenience only and are not integral to this agreement. No refund of rents shall be given for outages, content, lack of content, speed, access problems, lack of knowledge of use, or personal preferences with regard to service.

Other Occurrences

Manager does not accept liability for any loss or damage caused by but not limited to the following: weather conditions, natural disasters, pests, construction disturbances, acts of God, or other reasons beyond its control. shall be no refunds of rents because of shortened stays, ruined expectations, or departures due to work and family emergencies, unavailability of any or all parts of the Unit, or any other reasons. It is highly recommended that Guest considers the purchase of travel insurance.

Reservations are not Fully Guaranteed

If for any reason, the Property is not available or becomes unavailable or uninhabitable for the reservation dates, every effort will be made to locate substitute accommodations. If the substituted property rents for more for the same period, or remaining period respectively, Guest will have the option to pay any additional charges or cancel the reservation within 72 hours of notification of Guest by Manager. However, if the substitute property rents for less for the same period, the difference will be refunded to Guest. In any event, the sole remedy for any perceived damages, liability, or inconvenience is a full refund of the rental amount upon Guest cancellation. It is highly recommended that Guest considers the purchase of travel insurance.

Credit Card Authorisation

Guest agrees to provide Manager with a valid credit card for the duration of the reservation. The Guest is providing the credit card as a guarantee and certifies that he/she has read and agrees to abide by the terms of this agreement, and agrees to pay and authorize Manager to charge any rental amounts, taxes, security deposits, extra cleaning, missing property and any damages not covered under the Security Deposit Protection and fines or charges pertaining to violations of the rental agreement. Guest understands that all credit card sales are final. Should manager be unable to recover costs from the credit card on file, Guest is responsible to provide an alternative method of reimbursement within 48 hours of notification.

Damage and Breakages

Please take care of our property. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages which you cause to the accommodation or its contents. Please report these as soon as they occur especially if you accidentally spill something – it’s much easier to clean if we know what it is and act quickly. We do not normally charge for breakages, but we reserve the right to charge for repair or making good if the damage is significant.


Some of the data gathered during the course of a booking may be held on computer i.e. your email address, this information will be deleted after your visit, in accordance with GDPR.


You have access to your house throughout your stay using a set of keys given to you when you register on arrival. You have full responsibility of these keys for the duration of your stay. Lost keys will be charged at €30.00 per set.


We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees whilst acting in the course of their employment.

Lost Property

We are happy to return items that have been left following departure, however, there will be a minimum charge of €10.00 to cover postage and packaging.

Missing Items

We reserve the right to charge for missing items.


Smoking is NOT permitted within the house, Ocean Sound. Please note that offending guests will be asked to leave immediately and will be liable for professional cleaning of any rooms. Smoking is only permitted by the garden bench on the edge of the driveway – please use the pot provided for cigarette stubs.

Termination Policy

Ocean Sound reserve the right, at its discretion, to terminate, without notice, an individual’s stay where deemed necessary through unacceptable behaviour or as a result of actions which are likely to endanger or offend others (Please note that non-compliance of our no smoking policy will constitute termination). In such circumstances no refunds will be made.

Wi-Fi Access

By using our Wi-Fi Service, you automatically agree to the terms and conditions of use in force at the time.

Surfing and the beach

Surfboards and wet suits are not permitted in the house and please do not remove any towels from your room. If you require a towel for the beach please ask and we will provide.


Guests are not permitted to bring visitors into the house without prior notice to the owners.
